AUGUST RECAP:
Read Scary Close & Love, Skip, Jump
Val has read and recommended both of these and they seem like easy reads, so I hope to finish these this month! I have realized that in some relationships, I let people in quickly, but only up to a certain point and then I keep them at a distance. I am hoping to get some insight into why this is and the power of vulnerability from Scary Close. And I have learned so much in the last year about saying “yes!” to God and His plans, and I hope for Love, Skip, Jump to inspire me to make this a daily thing.Use Juice Beauty Daily
I have been thinking a lot lately about switching to more natural products in a lot of different areas, but have always been more hesitant about skincare, because I finally found something that worked for me! When I hit 27 my hormones changed and my face sure showed it. Just last year, after trying tons of products, I finally went to a dermatologists who put me on a prescription cream and a retinol. I’m not ready to stop using those products, but I’d like for everything else I use to be as natural as possible. So I purchased the eye cream, spf, night cream, and antioxidant serum and want to use it consistently for the entire month. I heard great thing about natural products clearing a lot of issues and I am hoping for the same.
- Workout 4x Week
2 Beach trips this month and one in October!
Drink Teami Blends Detox Pack
I found out about this tea from Instagram, and felt like my body could totally use a detox from the foods I’d been eating and just give myself a jump start to eating cleaner! And in a totally random coincidence Allie Shirley (our Miss June Wholehearted Lady, lol) just posted that she also in the middle of the detox pack.
Celebrate Turning 31!!!!
Our family is headed to the beach for our annual trip the day after me and Val’s birthday, August 28th, so I am thinking this birthday will be pretty low-key, but I’d love to use this trip and downtime as an opportunity to fill out my power sheets for the next 6 months and set some goals for my 31st year :)
SEPTEMBER GOALS :
- Plan & Host Lindsay’s Baby Shower
If you have read Wholeheartedly, you know how important I think it is to celebrate with your friends and family as they get married and have babies… no matter how far behind the curve you might feel and no matter how much you want those things too!
After trying to get pregnant for a while, we were so excited to to hear that Lindsay was pregnant and it was surely something worth celebrating! - Influence Network Conference
I couldn’t be more excited to be attending this year! There are so many gals I will finally get to meet face-to-face, that I already feel like I know. I am praying for the hearts of all attendees to be open and ready. And for the Holy Spirit to move and speak to us in unique ways. - Celebrate Josh Birthday
So, I forgot all about Josh’s birthday and booked my ticket to Influence Network, before I realized it! - Read the Mingling of Souls, You & Me, Forever, Sacred Marriage, and Dating Manifesto
I’m bumping up my book quota this month as I research and study relationships to prepare for writing my next devotional! - Start 2 Small Groups
I’m starting a girls group where we will be going through Anything by Jennie Allen. And we have a church small group starting where we discuss our sermon series, which is on the biblical view of money. - Book Brand Designer
Really pumped about this! I’m getting a logo and some branding done in preparation for a big launch in February. Praying that the Lord would match me with the perfect designer for me!
September, like August is a busy one, so I kept it simple again with just events and reading!
What are y’all hoping to accomplish this month?!?
